One year of notes

I noticed the date only when I wrote it at the top of this post. The first post here went up a year ago tonight, also late in the evening.

In that post I said I wanted to try developing. I thought maybe this year. It turned out to be September, with a second-hand tank and a great deal of reading first. That roll had marks on several frames and I was pleased with it anyway. The lab has not seen a roll of mine since September.

The Canonet I fixed in February has become the one I take when I am not sure I will shoot at all. It is heavier than it looks, and much quieter than the Bessa. The Bessa is still the main camera.

There is no visitor counter here and no comments, so I have no idea whether anyone reads this. Two friends abroad say they do. One of them asked me what Ilfotol is, so I believe her.

I need to buy fixer this week.
